Workshops

Mood Memory Timelines

When we think about certain periods of our lives we might recall a specific memory or an overarching mood for that period of time. In this workshop we will create a mixed media mood memory timeline and consider what we can learn from our past as we move into our future.

Your Money Relationship

Yen Coins

In this experiential workshop designed for womxn. Financial planner and expressive arts facilitator Angela Lee will guide us as we reflect on our personal relationship with money. Various art forms including visual art, movement, writing and sharing of experience will prompt us to explore our past, current and future attitudes, beliefs and goals for our personal relationship with money.  The activities are designed to elicit our emotions, bring awareness to implicit beliefs around money and explore ways to create healthy money habits.

Creativity Prompt Journals

Participants in this class will explore exercises intended to prompt creativity through sensory awareness. Then we will create a journal full of personalized prompts to inspire and challenge individual creativity through a variety of art modalities.

Word of the Year

We will work with creative writing, movement, visual art, music and community art to discover a word that is personally meaningful. This word will help guide our choices throughout the year, remind us of what we really want from life and empower us to live in a way that supports us to be our authentic selves and make positive changes.

Reflections of 2019

This rejuvenating evening of art making and reflection is an invitation to leave the chaos of the outside world behind for a while. Give yourself permission to sink into the moment, create and be curious about how you have grown in 2019. Through expressive arts we will explore the experiences, emotions and actions that inspire us as we move into a new year and those that we're ready to let go of.  Focus will be on trusting our own inner knowing, supporting all parts of self and building resources.

"Art is not just ornamental, an enhancement of life. It is a path in itself, a way out of the predictable and conventional…a map to self-discovery."
